TRC Level 2 – Advanced Refurbisher

Level 2 is where applicators become refurbishers.

This certification builds directly on Level 1 and trains technicians to restore an entire device cosmetically — not just a single surface. At this level, precision, surface control, and decision-making matter more than speed alone.

A Level 2 Certified Refurbisher can confidently apply skins across palms, bases, sides, and trackpads, managing curves, cut-outs, grills, and tolerance stacking without stretch, lift, or misalignment.

This is the level where cosmetic refurbishment becomes a system — not a task.

What Level 2 Certifies

A Level 2 Certified Refurbisher can:

  • Fully wrap a device (lid, palm, base, sides, trackpad)

  • Maintain alignment across multiple skins and surfaces

  • Control stretch and distortion on complex shapes

  • Lock edges so they do not lift over time

  • Work faster without sacrificing consistency or finish quality

What’s Included

  • Advanced training focused on full-device cosmetic restoration

  • Techniques for curves, grills, cut-outs, and interference points

  • Surface preparation standards that prevent long-term failure

  • Multiple application methods with clear pros and cons

  • Practical certification exam based on production-grade outcomes

Why Level 2 Matters

Single-surface application is easy to teach. Full-device refurbishment is not.

Level 2 addresses the real failure points that cost refurbishers time and money:

  • Edge lift on palms and bases

  • Stretch and distortion around cut-outs

  • Visible seams and misalignment

  • Inconsistent results between technicians

By standardising how complex surfaces are handled, Level 2:

  • Reduces cosmetic rework

  • Improves Grade A yield

  • Protects long-term durability

  • Enables predictable, scalable refurbishment

Level 2 certification is required before progressing to Level 3 – Screen Specialist or Level 4 – Master Refurbisher.

Think Global. Refurb Local.
