LEVEL 1

Certified Applicator

Price: £300 — includes full tool kit and consumables (valued at £351)

Course focus: Refurb station set-up, lid skin and SticKeys application

Curriculum

Introduction: TRC processes, warranties, carbon impact, Think Global Refurb Local
Tools: Full tool kit, video demos, health & safety
Lid Skin: Weeding, application tape, badge alignment, heat sealing, Steve technique
SticKeys: Weeding, first row alignment, bubble correction

Exam

Video assessment: 2 lids + 2 SticKeys in under 20 minutes (Distinction: under 12 min)

Result: TRC Certified Partner status

LEVEL 2

Advanced Refurbisher

Where applicators become refurbishers. Full-device cosmetic restoration.

Fully wrap a device (lid, palm, base, sides, trackpad)
Alignment across multiple skins and surfaces
Stretch and distortion control on complex shapes
Edge locking for long-term durability

Master Refurbisher

The highest certification level. Commercial judgement, structural repair, paint techniques, and multi-method workflow integration.

Not every laptop should be refurbished — refurbishing the wrong units kills margin. Level 4 trains technicians to think like refurbishment managers.

Prerequisite: Level 3 certification
